Heavy, consistent rain washed out Friday's practice sessions for the Izod IndyCar Series and Firestone Indy Lights at the new circuit at City Centre Airport in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The 13-turn, 2.24-mile circuit just north of the previous track had standing water on it most of the day.

The forecast calls for improved weather on Saturday. Race day on Sunday looks to be the best day of all in Edmonton this weekend.

Saturday's schedule includes a pair of practice sessions (11:40 a.m.-12:25 p.m. and 1:25 p.m.-2:10 p.m., Eastern) before qualifying begins at 5:30 p.m., broadcast on the Versus network.
